Temperature and pressure compensated precession vortex

I. Overview

Intelligent precession vortex flowmeter is a new type of gas flow meter with advanced domestic level developed by our company. The flow meter integrates the functions of flow, temperature and pressure detection, and can automatically compensate for temperature, pressure and compression factors. It is an ideal instrument for gas measurement in the petroleum, chemical, power, metallurgy and other industries.

1.1 Product main features

 No mechanical moving parts, not easy to corrode, stable and reliable, long life, no special maintenance required for long-term operation;

 16-bit computer chip, high integration, small size, good performance, strong machine function;

 Intelligent flowmeter integrates flow probe, microprocessor, pressure and temperature sensor into one, and adopts built-in combination to make the structure more compact, which can directly measure fluid flow, pressure and temperature, and automatically track compensation and compression factor correction ;

 The use of dual detection technology can effectively increase the detection signal strength and suppress interference caused by pipeline vibration;

 Adopt domestic advanced intelligent seismic technology to effectively suppress interference signals caused by vibration and pressure fluctuations;

 Adopting Chinese character dot matrix display, it has many display digits, and the reading is intuitive and convenient. It can directly display the volume flow rate in the working state, the volume flow rate, the total amount in the standard state, and the media pressure and temperature.

 Adopt EEPROM technology, convenient parameter setting, long-term storage, and long-term historical data;

 The converter can output frequency pulses, 4-20mA analog signals, and has an RS485 interface, which can be directly connected to a computer and the transmission distance can reach 1.2km;

 Multi-physical parameter alarm output, which can be selected by the user;

 The meter head can be rotated 360 degrees, which is easy to install and use;

 Cooperate with our company's FM data collector, which can carry out remote data transmission through the Internet or telephone network

 The pressure and temperature signals are sensor input methods, which are highly interchangeable;

 The power consumption of the whole machine is low. It can be powered by internal battery or external power supply.

1.2 Main uses

Intelligent precession vortex flowmeter can be widely used in petroleum, chemical industry, electric power, metallurgy, urban gas supply and other industries to measure various gas flows.

Structure and working principle

2.1 Flowmeter structure

The flow meter consists of the following seven basic components (Figure 1):


Vortex generator

It is made of aluminum alloy and has a certain angle of helical blades. It is fixed at the front of the shrinking section of the shell, forcing the fluid to generate a strong vortex flow.

壳体 Shell

It has a flange and a fluid channel with a certain shape. According to different working pressures, the shell material can be cast aluminum alloy or stainless steel. (figure 1)

⒊ Intelligent flowmeter totalizer (see Figure 3 for principle)

It is composed of temperature, pressure detection analog channel, flow detection digital channel, micro processing unit, liquid crystal drive circuit and other auxiliary circuits, and is equipped with external input signal interface.

4. Temperature sensor

With Pt100 platinum resistance as a temperature sensitive element, its resistance value corresponds to temperature within a certain temperature range.

5. Pressure sensor

The piezoresistive diffused silicon bridge circuit is used as a sensitive element, and its bridge arm resistance changes as expected under external pressure. Therefore, under a certain excitation current, the potential difference between its two output terminals is proportional to the external pressure.

6. Piezo Crystal Sensor

Installed near the throat of the expansion section of the casing, it can detect the frequency signal of vortex precession.

⒎ Racer

It is fixed in the outlet section of the shell, and its role is to swirl the flow to reduce the impact on the downstream instrument performance.

2.2 working principle


The flow profile of the flow sensor is similar to the profile of a Venturi tube (Figure 2). A set of spiral guide vanes is placed on the inlet side. When the fluid enters the flow sensor, the guide vanes force the fluid to generate a violent vortex. When the fluid enters the diffusion section, the vortex is affected by the backflow and starts to rotate twice to form a gyro-type vortex precession phenomenon. The precession frequency is directly proportional to the flow rate, and is not affected by the physical properties and density of the fluid. The detection element can obtain a good linearity in a wide flow range by measuring the precession frequency of the fluid during the second rotation. The signal is amplified, filtered, and shaped by a preamplifier and converted into a pulse signal that is proportional to the flow rate, and then sent to the microprocessor for integration processing together with the detection signals such as temperature and pressure. Measurement results (instantaneous flow, cumulative flow and temperature, pressure data).


Third, the main technical parameters and functions

3.1 Flowmeter specifications, basic parameters and performance indicators (see Table 1)

1. Accuracy: the accuracy of the system after temperature and pressure correction;

2. A and B are used to distinguish different flow ranges with the same diameter.

3.2 Standard state conditions: P = 101.325KPa, T = 293.15K

3.3 Conditions of use:

Ambient temperature: -30 ℃ ~ + 65 ℃

Relative humidity: 5% to 95%

Medium temperature: -20 ℃ ~ + 80 ℃

Atmospheric pressure: 86KPa ~ 106KPa
